Text or call us anytime. We'd rather hear from you than have you guess. Help yourself to anything in the kitchen and watch whatever you want.
Luke
Food
Dinner anytime between 5:30 and 6:30pm. Whatever timing works for you.
Snacks
The pantry has puffs, graham crackers, and cheddar bunnies. All fine to give him.
Food safety
- Break graham crackers and granola bars into small pieces he can't choke on.
- No grapes.
- Strap him into the high chair. He tries to crawl out.
- Stay with him while he eats.
If you're not sure whether something is okay to give him, or whether a piece is small enough, text us first.
Bedtime
Start around 6:45-7pm. No bath tonight.
- Change his diaper.
- Put him in his pjs and sleep sack.
- Get his bottle from the fridge.
- Read him a story, if you want to.
- Put him in his crib with the bottle. He falls asleep on his own.
After he's down
Put Red's food and water bowls back on the floor so Red can get to them.
If he wakes up
what you want her to do: give him a few minutes, go in and pat him, text you, etc.
If he's fussy
He's usually hungry, needs a diaper change, or is getting tired. Work through those three first.
Watch closely
Stairs
He can crawl up but doesn't know how to come down. Don't leave him near them.
Couch and ottoman
He can usually get himself down, but he's still clumsy. Keep an eye on him.
High chair
Strap him in. He tries to crawl out.
Red's food and water
He loves getting into it. The bowls sit up on the counter while he's awake. Put them back down once he's asleep.
Red
He won't need much
Red doesn't need anything from you tonight.
He might ask to go out in the backyard. That's fine.
If he's in the way
Put him in our room and shut the door. He's usually pretty chill, so you probably won't need to.
His bowls
They stay on the counter while Luke is awake. Put them back on the floor once Luke is asleep.
Emergency
If something serious happens, call 911 first, then call us.
